Ben Nevis is the tallest mountain of the 3, whose rugged topography and unpredictable weather offer the first test of endurance. With most people taking on average 7-8 hours to scale Ben Nevis, your aim will be to get up and down in less than 5 before a 6-7 hour journey south to the Peak District.
Next is Scafell Pike, where you will need to navigate a landscape of rocks to reach the summit through the night. Your target will be to complete Scafell Pike in 4 hours or less before driving into the early hours of the morning to Wales.
The final leg of your journey will be Snowdon in the early part of the morning, just as the sun starts to rise. The final trek should take around 4 hours and will involve you descending into Llanderis for lunch before a transfer to Chester Train Station where the challenge ends.
The challenge demands not only physical prowess but also mental tenacity, with you trekking through the night and contending with fatigue. However, the sense of achievement upon completion, coupled with the encounter of breathtaking natural beauty and historical significance, makes the Three Peaks Challenge a uniquely enriching experience.
The challenge takes place on various dates in June and September 2026. For further details or to read the full itinerary you can visit the Global Adventures Challenges website.
