Bill's Story

My dad, our pap, Bill had never been ill in his life. A strong man who always fought his corner. To him – you rubbed your knee better, got up and carried on running. When he was 79, he went into hospital to get his appendix removed. Soon after, he was diagnosed with cancer.

A silver leaf at £19.75 per month could cover the cost of five home visits from a hospice@home nurse.

Each leaf, carefully engraved with your loved one's name or message, is a timeless tribute that will be admired by all who visit our Memory Tree.

It’s more than a marker; it’s a testament to the enduring power of love and memory. Every leaf on this tree tells a unique story, contributing to a shared tapestry of remembrance, unity and resilience.

A bronze leaf

One off payment of £84 or monthly DD of £7.00

This could pay for transport to our Wellbeing Centre. This allows wellbeing patients to attend sessions where they can learn coping techniques for symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness – and receive support to help manage symptoms at home.

Dedicate a bronze leaf

A silver leaf

One off payment of £237 or monthly DD of £19.75.

This could cover the cost of five home visits from a Hospice at Home nurse. Home visits mean a patient could receive specialised care in the comfort of their own home, while also providing family members with precious respite.

A gold leaf

One off payment of £504 or monthly DD of £42.00

This could provide 24 hours of nursing support for somebody in our inpatient unit. Every day here at the hospice is special for those on their end of life journey. Our dedicated nursing team ensures that everyone who stays with us receives exceptional care.

Dedicate a golf leaf

Your leaf will stay on the Memory Tree for as long as you are happy to continue your regular gift or proceed to make a new one-off donation.

If you choose not to renew, we return your leaf to you to keep as you choose.
