Cynthia Spencer was opened in 1976 and since then has been looking after the people of West Northants during the final days of their life ensuring that they get the specialist end of life care they require.
On these webpages you will see how easy it is to join us with fundraising; the activities have been specifically designed with the students in mind. We have created 4 exciting activities – Spencer’s Reading Challenge, Bring the Sunshine, The Enterprise Challenge and the Reindeer Run – you can find out more about each activity from the links below.
Each activity will challenge the students and create excitement whilst allowing them to learn about the charity and how their actions can help other people.
We are also offering the option of coming and speaking to the students about who we are, what we do and how the funds raised are spent; this is an interactive presentation and creates some good talking points. If you have a careers or volunteers week we can come and speak about this from a charity point of view.
We can also come along to enhance an event you holding such as a fete, parents evening or open evening.
We look forward to working with you.

Can your junior school build a book tower as part of Spencer’s Reading Challenge?
We would love to come and talk to your students, or host a stand at one of your events
Young people have an important part to play in supporting Cynthia Spencer Hospice and we really value our relationships with schools, colleges and universities within our community.
Your students will be learning how their small act of compassion and caring could make a challenging situation bearable for families like theirs, and help to build a future generation that continues to take care of their neighbours and community.
There is a lot of evidence proving that students that engage in activities promoting their wellbeing, such as fundraising and social activities, help them to overcome challenges, build confidence and learn skills.
Fundraising can be fun, educational and rewarding! We want everyone to get involved – teachers, lecturers, parents and students – so that much needed awareness and funds are raised, and care and support is available for everyone, whether they are living with an incurable illness, caring for someone who is, or grieving over the death of a loved one, now and in the future.
