How it works

Whether you would you like an Assembly to learn more about the hospice, volunteering or career information, or would like us to attend one of your events we can provide a bespoke assembly, fun activity table at a fete or an information stand at a parents/open evening.

For more information use the options below to see what we offer.

What we offer

Introduction to the Hospice

Designed to give an introduction to the Hospice, this presentation explains what a hospice is and how it differs from a hospital, and an introduction to how we fundraise and spend the funds and how the students can get involved – ideal for a general assembly before any fundraising is undertaken. There are interactive elements to the presentation and an option for questions at the end.

When delivering this in a Primary setting we introduce our mascot, Spencer Bunny at the end, for Secondary schools we go into more detail about the hospice and show a short video about our Memory boxes.

If you have a designated careers week, we can come in and talk about different jobs within a charity setting and explain that it is not just fetes and bucket collections!

We can come and talk about volunteering for the charity, how this looks good on CV’s and university applications, the different types of volunteering available and how this helps the charity.

We can come along to your school fete with our fundraising stall with games, lucky wheel, guess the name of the bear etc. We can also bring our mascot, Spencer Bunny, to entertain the families in attendance.

We can come along to a parents evening with an information/fundraising stand showing how the school has interacted with us and how their generosity has helped the hospice.  We would also have an adult hamper raffle to raise funds for the hospice.

When you have your open evening for perspective parents we can come along and showcase the type of activites the children could get involved in and how this would help them and the hospice. We would also have an adult hamper raffle to raise funds for the hospice.
