John O’Meara was diagnosed with cancer of the lung and sternum and underwent both chemotherapy and radiotherapy to treat his condition. The treatment proved to be successful.
Although in remission, John suffers with crippling anxiety and depression as a direct result of his initial prognosis. Bedbound and unable to keep food down, John was admitted to Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
