George Yates
Challenge: 4 Marathons in 4 days & 7 marathons in 7 days

Target: £2,000

Marathon ready in memory of mum.

I am going to be running 4 marathons in 4 days in February and to follow that I will be running 7 marathons in 7 days in March! This is part of my goal to reach 100 marathons. I would like to raise money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice in memory of my Mum Eve.

Challenge: 50 miles for 50 years

Hannah Brady, Nina Gandy, and Michelle Morris are going to be running 50 miles (80KM) for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to do something difficult to raise money for this fantastic charity and what better year to do it than in their 50th year.

Turning Grief into Gratitude – Paige is fundraising for her Nan and Grandad.

In order to honour my Nan and give back, I originally planned to do a skydive but earlier this year, my Grandad sadly passed away too. One thing he always enjoyed was seeing the family come together for fundraisers

I will be hiking on the TMB through France Italy and Switzerland between 20/6 – 28/6/26 an 8 day slog which I will finish!!!

For most of my childhood, my memories were filled with days with my grandparents being taken to coffee mornings and cafés therefore it feels fitting to host several coffee mornings in memory of my Grandpa Dennis Smith.

We have signed up to be BIG 50 Fundraisers because we believe everyone deserves the very best care at the end of life. The hospice provides comfort, support, and reassurance for patients, completely free of charge. Our golf day takes place in June, and we look are looking forward getting everyone involved in our fundraising efforts.

The Amazing Northampton Run will include a post-run event at the Albion Brewery Bar with the launch of a new beer brewed by Phipps NBC to celebrate Cynthia Spencer Hospice’s 50th year with proceeds going to the Fundraising target.

Chloe Lavelle and Weston Favell Shopping Centre are proudly supporting Cynthia Spencer Hospice once again, this year pledging to be one of our BIG 50 Fundraisers.

They’ve taken on the challenge to help us celebrate 50 years of hospice care, aiming to raise £2,000 to support a week of specialist care for local patients and their families.

Their continued commitment means so much in our BIG 50 year.

TP Group Property Team - Challenge: Golf Day and a Quiz and Bingo night

The Travis Perkins Property Team are taking on not one but two brilliant challenges as part of our BIG 50 Fundraiser campaign — our Summer Golf Day and a Quiz & Bingo Night. They’re aiming to raise £2,000 to help celebrate 50 years of Cynthia Spencer Hospice care, contributing to our goal of funding 50 weeks of specialist support for local families. Their enthusiasm and dedication are helping make our BIG 50 year truly extraordinary.

The Tollemache Arms is proud to support our local hospice.

We’ll be hosting a variety of events and fundraising activities across the year, bringing people together to make a real difference. Every donation, raffle ticket, and event attended will help Cynthia Spencer continue providing compassionate care and support when it’s needed most.

Rachel Spence and her Friends have organised a number of events this year including a fantastic afternoon tea and a music night in November.

What started as a fundraiser has become so much more. Through these portrait sessions, I’ve met remarkable people, sparked conversations about hospice care, heard deeply personal stories about loved ones, and helped to capture memories people will treasure.

The wellbeing walking group turned their weekly woodland laps into a sponsored challenge, each patient completing as many laps as felt right for them.

What began as a gentle, supportive wellbeing activity became a meaningful fundraiser – a way for patients to give back to the hospice using something they already love and rely on.

Their challenge was simple but powerful: walk at their own pace, support one another, and raise money with every lap completed.

Challenge: Golf Marathon

Charlie, Joshua, Tom and Will are taking on a golf marathon in memory of David Jones, known to many as ‘Pap Dave’, who was cared for at Cynthia Spencer Hospice during his final moments.

The kindness and support for not only Dave but also his family at such a difficult time has left a lasting impact 💙💛

After playing for 17 hours straight and raising an incredible £1,500 last year, this year they’re looking to play for a whopping 19 hours!

T&C Construction Service Ltd
Challenge: Snowdon Trek

Target: £2,000

The team at T&C Construction Services took on the challenge of hiking up Snowdon to raise vital funds for Cynthia Spencer Hospice — and they made it all the way to the top.

Their determination, teamwork, and community spirit have helped raise incredible support for the hospice, and the T&C team would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged, and cheered them on.

Smurfitt Westrock
Challenge: Team Abseil

Target: £2,000

Smurfit Westrock Northampton are proud to be one of Cynthia Spencer Hospice’s BIG 50 Fundraisers!

On Saturday 11th July, a brave group of employees will be abseiling down the Lift Tower in Northampton!! We are very grateful for any sponsorship towards this challenge.

Challenge: Wolf Run

For Quagga Design this cause is deeply personal for several members of the team. We have experienced first-hand the kindness, dignity and unwavering support that Cynthia Spencer Hospice offers whilst caring for loved ones. We are looking forward to taking on a variety of challenges to support the hospice.

Challenge: 5 months, 500 miles

Target: £2,000

Raised so far: £315

I will run a minimum of 100 miles every month from August to December 2026. The first 50 miles each month is to celebrate the age of Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the second 50 miles each month is to the next 50 years of the existence of this incredible Charity that delivers so much warmth, comfort, love and support to the local community.

The South Northants Amateur Golf Society held a golf day in memory of one of their members Gez Jackson, alongside Gez’s wife.

The event was an incredible day of fundraising and remembrance at Whittlebury Park Golf Club.

Challenge: Charity Matches

Since 2021, we’ve been organizing charity football matches across the UK in memory of our dear friend Rebelo Costa, which led to the creation of Ruby United.

Every donation helps us make a difference while honouring Rebelo’s memory, we can turn passion into purpose!
