Frequently Asked Questions

Our coloured powder is made from natural, food grade corn starch. It’s non toxic, biodegradable, safe for the environment, and technically edible — though we don’t recommend tasting it!
If you have a skin allergy or respiratory condition, please speak to your doctor before taking part.

The full route is approximately 5km.
If that feels too far, there will be a clearly marked shortcut on the day that allows you to complete roughly half the distance. Just choose what feels right for you!

All event information will be emailed to you two weeks before the event, including details about where and when to collect your running number on the day.

• Safety pins for your running number
• A pen to complete the emergency information on the back
• A bottle of water for the route (water will also be available at the end)
• As little else as possible — there’s no bag storage
You’ll need to pin your number to your shirt before starting.

Wear comfortable clothes and trainers you don’t mind getting colourful!
Most participants start in a white T shirt for the best colour effect.
If you want to protect your hair, bring a hat, scarf, or bandana.

Absolutely! The brighter and more creative, the better — it all adds to the fun.

We recommend wearing sunglasses or eye protection, and a mask if you have a respiratory condition. There will be plenty of water available and our first aid team will be onsite if needed.

No, sorry. Please arrive ready to run and bring only what you can comfortably carry.
If you have supporters with you, they can look after any belongings.

Yes — it usually comes off easily!
Brush off as much powder as you can while it’s dry before leaving the event.
Bring a towel or seat covers for your car.
Clothes and hair may need a couple of washes, but the colour should come out completely.

No — this is a fun run, not a race. There are no timing chips and no winners. Just enjoy yourself!
Absolutely — this is a fun run, not a race! You’re welcome to walk, jog, dance or skip your way around the course. Just enjoy it at your own pace.
Unfortunately not. The route is on uneven farmland and can be very rough in places, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Children are welcome, but we do not recommend the event for under 5s due to the powder and the busy, noisy environment.
• Children under 16 must be registered by an adult
• They must also be accompanied by a participating adult throughout the run

Yes, we’d love that! Spectators can enjoy the atmosphere, but please keep them back from the colour stations to avoid accidental rainbow makeovers — we can’t be responsible for stray paint clouds.

Dogs can’t take part in the run, but they are welcome in the event village with a responsible adult.
Please keep dogs on a lead and pick up after them.

Unfortunately, places are non-transferable. If you can no longer take part, please let us know as soon as possible.

We have designated Paint Stations along the course where volunteers gently throw powder towards your body.
Some colour will naturally reach your face and hair, and you’ll pass through fun colour clouds — this is all part of the experience!

Yes! There will be designated parking available close to the event village. Details about parking locations and access will be included in your event‑day information email. Please follow the signs and marshal directions when you arrive.

Yes, toilet facilities will be available near the event village. We recommend allowing a little extra time before the run in case of queues.

Yes, event photographers will be out on the course and in the event village capturing all the colourful moments!
After the event, we’ll share a link on our social media channels and in your post‑event email so you can browse and download the photos.

You can sign up on the day from 8.30am
