The training we provide

The Northamptonshire End of Life Care Practice Development Team provides high quality, evidence based education from training suites based at Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton. We can also deliver commissioned training at your organisation.

Whether it’s advice or dedicated training sessions, the team provide:

Formal and bespoke education sessions structured around the End of Life Care Core Skills Education and Training Framework (2017) and other National end of life care policy drivers

Education tailored and commissioned to individual organisations

Telephone/email advice and support regarding end of life care issues

I have worked in the health and social care setting for 38 years.  I learned something from the course, so you are never too old or too experienced to learn new ways of communicating, listening and responding to the needs of the patient, carers and work colleagues

St Christopher's Care Home undertook the Gold Standards Framework Foundation level programme supported by our Practice Development Team. The care home manager said:
