Travis Perkins' Innovative Fundraising Brings in over £11,000 for the Hospice

The team that was based at Travis Perkins' Innovation Centre has wrapped up two years of support and fundraising for the Hospice with a total fundraising contribution of £11,610.50.

Ami Townell, who coordinated the fundraising and volunteering activities of the Innovation Team said: "These last 2 years supporting the hospice have been an incredible experience for both myself and the team. We've gone far beyond simply selling sample products and ventured into gardening and painting/decorating in order to do our bit for the hospice. I have brought the wider teams of Travis Perkins together over the past few months to offer a helping hand and it has given me great pleasure in raising a phenomenal amount of the money. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me in supporting the hospice.

"We've had fun raising money for the hospice and helping out both in the garden and with the painting. It really brought our company together" Ami continued.

Chelsea Galpin, corporate partnerships fundraiser at the Hospice said: "The support of Ami and her colleagues has been amazing and the energy they have each put into their mission to support us and raise money has been extremely inspiring! The transformation of the Hospice wards and grounds that they have worked hard to create, in addition to supplying many of the materials for the work, has been gratefully received. Their innovative approach to fundraising really highlights what a business can do when they set their sights on supporting a cause as they have run auctions, raffles, sample sales and karting events among other activities to raise money and awareness for our services"

If any other businesses feel they could offer support to the Hospice as a team whether that be through volunteering days, taking part in any of our events or planning their own support strategy by adopting us as their Charity of the Year please contact Chelsea on 01604 973348 or email
