The annual Barclaycard Tennis Tournament has raised £233.22, with the company set to 'game, set & match' that sum with their £ for £ matching initiative.
The tournament, organised by long-time Hospice supporter Peter Gorman is held at Dallington Tennis Club by kind permission of Chairman Gareth Cox and has raised over £2,300 over the last decade.
This year's event was a 'hotly' contested affair with players braving scorching temperatures and the semi-finals saw Wayne Savage and Jack Dimond wilt to strangely leave the two organisers Peter Gorman and Neil Saunderson to battle the final, with Peter taking the crown of Champion.
Our thanks go out to Dallington Tennis Club, the organiser Pete Gorman and his able assistant Neil and everyone who braved the heat to take part and support the Hospice.
