Breathing for Wellbeing

Breathlessness is difficult, laboured and uncomfortable breathing. It can be both frightening and overwhelming and may be caused by a combination of physical and psychological factors. If you experience one or more of the following symptoms, you will benefit from attending this course.

  • Breathlessness after only minimal exertion
  • Feeling of panic with shortness of breath
  • Problems with sleep

About the programme

The breathing for wellbeing course is for patients who:  are troubled by breathlessness due to their condition, for patients who are having treatment for their breathlessness, and for patients who may benefit from a self-help programme in order to manage their breathlessness.

This programme explores ways you can manage your breathlessness. Each session will include education, physical activity and a relaxation section.
