The 14th annual Speedy Cup took place on the Racecourse, Northampton on Saturday 4th June and the Hospice has been presented with a cheque for £6,500 from the Speedy Cup Committee, with the same amount going to the Northampton Cathedral Fund.

John Helm said "We are delighted that the Irish Community of Northampton have come together again this year for the Speedy Cup and have made this wonderful donation to support the Hospice. Our thanks go out to the Speedy Cup Organising Committee, the event sponsors and the public who turned out to make the event such a success."
The Speedy Cup is a celebration of all things Irish and is dedicated to the memory of Patrick Hanrahan, more affectionately known as Speedy to his friends and peers and the event has raised £148,750 since its inception, including £54,200 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
