The 2016 Summer Naps League in the Chronicle & Echo was a hotly contested affair that has now raised £1,100 for the Hospice. The league, sponsored by Northampton Warehousing, Packing, Distribution and Fulfillment firm Dalepak is run by former Chronicle & Echo Sports Editor Mark Beesley who has supported the Hospice for over a decade.
The Summer league was won by Gary Pritchard (centre), pictured receiving the Naps Shield from Mick White, from sponsors Dalepak. Also pictured from left to right are Mario Solazzo (6th place), Ian White (Sammy Parker Trophy for most winners in a season) and Holly Shaw (a valued member of the Naps team, whose team Harley's Angels, named after her cat Harley finished joint 4th). To Mick's left are Steve Griffiths (2nd place) and Ann Burdett (3rd place). Also worth mentioning, but not pictured is Nigel Ancil who kindly donated his £100 winnings for finishing joint 4th to the Hospice.
Hospice Community & Corporate Fundraiser, Louise Danielczuk said "We are delighted to receive this wonderful, continued support from the Naps League. There are so many people to thank; Mark, Holly and Dave Brawn who do so much in running the league, Mick White and sponsors Dalepak, without whom the league couldn't continue and all the teams who enter and religiously pick their selections week in week out. The Hospice is eternally grateful to all these and the rest of our community that do so much to enable us to support the people of Northamptonshire. Thank you all."
