Staff at the Northampton depots of international convenience foods manufacturer Greencore have once again proved to be tasty when it comes to fundraising by donating £6,000 from their charitable activities throughout 2016 to the Hospice. A large portion of the money was raised at the firm's annual fun day for employees and their families.
Greencore's Technical Executive, Greg Hunn handed over this wonderful donation to Staff Nurse Jamie Smith during a visit to the Hospice this week. Greg, pictured 'sandwiched' between Jamie and John Helm, the Hospice Fundraising Manager had a tour of the Hospice and said: "the Hospice staff are a special bunch who do great work for their local community and colleagues at Greencore hold the Hospice close to their hearts. We are delighted to be able to put something back into our local community and help the Hospice this way." In response, John said: "we would like to thank everyone at Greencore's Northampton sites for their continued, wonderful support for our Hospice service. Greencore have raised nearly £30,000 for the Hospice over the last eight years which has made a fantastic difference to the care we have given."
